"Whatever Mistakes you have done in the Past should not Kill Your Sanity or Anything in the Present"
Due to my frustrations, I went downtown yesterday to unwind and took a break from the saturation of my thoughts but later that day when I was about to go home, I saw a man of inferiority begging for alms in the street just right at the side walk of the Capitol. He is blind and unable to walk with his two legs because the other one is lame. As I sipped the drink I was holding that time, I took time to eye him, all his routines whenever he sensed some men approaching by. For the next 10 seconds, I could just feel "anger" and imagine his life before this lame man I was staring at. How would some rude family let him this way? What kind of people they are? Is this the way they treat those people who've done them wrong? All questions I never pursue to answer.
Mistakes? Did he do "some" unforgivable mistakes with someone? Or did Someone done mistakes over him? Whatever the answer is, would you consider yourself to let people suffer because they've done wrong or vice-versa? I ruminated as I sat down on the bench near him and watched more acts of inferiority. I admit, I wasn't moved to tears or anything. I tried to but that would sounds antipathic if I do with forced.
Will I ever became like this when someone done me wrong and unable to handle the depression?
Another thought came by, as I sneak a little of how he grasp the money on the can. Slowly bringing out the coins, I couldn't help but to take a look also at my wallet. Pitying him a lot that in the first place I've always questioning how he came like this not thoroughly thinking of what help this poor pauper needed on his present life. He needs understanding more than money. He needs care more than sympathy. He needs love more than sleep.
Of all those questions I dwell with myself vanished. I went to the bakeshop near the capitol and bought some fresh breads with drinks, I get back where the man was and handed him the foods. To think of food is betterly given to some odd man in the streets. Everybody in the area were staring at me, some might empathize and some were laughing with why would I mingle with this crazy man as what they'd describe. It is simply because, I learned in that very seconds while watching this poor man, to dwell with the past won't give you any betterment. Whatever mistakes you have done in the past should not kill your sanity or anything in the present. Yes, this man made me realized the biggest fear in my life and that is to be pitied upon.
I was ordered by my conscience perhaps to pity the lame man but one thing for sure, I can't just let the day past without realizing something. To dwell with your past through your anger is a BIG no-no in the present. I was angry enough to conclude and questioned the man's past experiences. With that anger, I failed to recognize the bigger problem in the situation, he just need some help, any act of kindness will do.
There I was leaving him instead hoping what I gave him will suffice his hunger though. I was never happy going home later that day. Imagining his life next morning without grasping for something but alms from the sinners around him.
Generally speaking, Maybe pity can do something and I hope someone greater than me would allow themselves to help this homeless guys in the street to put them in a simple yet permanent shelter. Well now I am pointing the big guys there in the Government.
